SLIK design genius created a circular quick release plate that can be secured to the tripod with the camera pointing in any direction, making attaching your camera (once the SLIK quick release plate is attached) more intuitive than most other heads.
Squared off or angled plates are traditional. This style of quick release plate allows the camera to be attached, in one, or at most two positions. The round SLIK quick release plate speeds the mounting of the camera to the head meaning you can be ready to shoot in less time.
For levelling of the camera, the PRO 700 DX head has dual-axis bubble levels recessed in the quick release's mount base so the camera can be easily levelled once it is attached.
The PRO 700 DX Head has a standard 3/8 mount so that it can be used in a wide variety of tripods from other manufacturers as well as SLIK.
