As well as a versatile zoom range, which is a 24-80mm equivalent, this zoom lens offers a fast f2.8 maximum aperture - this allows users to produce a good amount of background blur as well as capture blur-free images in dimmer lighting conditions. As well as a high-quality optical design, this lens is well-made physically, with weather-resistance as well as a protective fluorine coating.
The premium optical design of this Olympus Pro 12-40mm f2.8 II WP lens includes a number of high-end optical elements (1 EDA lens, 2 aspherical lens, 1 DSA lens, 2 ED lens, 1 HD lens, 2 HR lens), as well as ZERO coating, which has been applied to reduce flare and ghosting and to improve the performance during backlit conditions. As all modern micro four thirds mirrorless cameras are known for their flexibility, in terms of their ability to capture images and video recordings, this lens provides smooth and accurate autofocus, with its MSC AF motor. Other highlights include a manual focus clutch mechanism, this lens also offers an L.Fn button for mastering your workflow.
