With retro making a huge comeback, Olympus have looked back to one of their most popular camera ranges when designing their new mirrorless system. The range of old is the Olympus OM SLR range from the 70's, with this new OM-D E-M5 being the resulting new body. Just like the OM range, the E-M5 is notable for its amazing performance to size ratio, providing image quality that compares to DSLRs on the market, in a package that is comfortable in the hand, and weighs significantly less. Despite this compact size, the E-M5 is strong, featuring the same extensive weather-sealing which Olympus previously bestowed upon its high-end DSLR range.
Pictures taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 are sublime, with thanks to the 16MP Live MOS sensor and TruePic VI processor. This combo also lends itself to speed, with the camera capable of up to 9 frames per second continuous shooting, and a likewise speedy AF system.
