An update of Nikon’s hugely popular original 18-300mm lens, this New version delivers the same stunning versatility in a smaller and lighter package. Performance-wise, the lens features the same 27-450mm equivalent zoom range, which is wide enough for landscapes and interiors, and long enough to reach across an oval and competently frame sporting events. With its ability to perform the same tasks that would have at one time required multiple lenses, the 18-300mm VR lens is ideal for those that want a simplified gadget bag, or who don’t want to waste time changing lenses out in the field.
This is one lens that you don’t need to be worried about shooting with after hours, with the VR stabiliser compensating for up to 4 stops of camera shake. This also means you can confidently zoom right out to 300mm without reaching for extra support. Every little bump is not going to lead to blur with the 18-300mm VR lens, even at full magnification. Aspherical and ED elements have been used in the optical makeup of this lens, delivering sharp and detailed pictures free from distortions. Super Integrated coating has been applied to cut down ghosting and flare, with the bonus benefit of increased contrast and colour rendering.
